Maintaining motivation.
Maybe I’ll talk about it now.
Or maybe I’ll wait for motivation to magically show up.
Or better yet—someone could burst in and hype me up.
If that’s how this worked, this video might never happen.
We often treat motivation like magic—
Like it just appears out of nowhere.
An athlete once told me he prays to the gods of his sport to deliver it.
Others believe they have to feel hyped for every practice and every game.
That’s not realistic.
There will be days when:
😴 Sleeping in sounds better.
📺 Netflix beats training.
💭 Life pulls your focus elsewhere.
That doesn’t mean you don’t care.
Believing it does? That’ll drive you bananas.
So, what do you do?
✅ Prepare for it.
✅ Create an environment that fuels motivation.
✅ Keep your goals, your why, and what you want—visible.
Write JUST START on your goals sheet.
Make a sign.
Put it on your phone background.
The key? Just start.
Motivation follows action.
And sometimes, just starting is the progress.
Remember—progress doesn’t always look pretty.
It’s like the end of a bad basketball game:
Fouls. Free throws. Reviews. Timeouts.
Messy—but still moving forward.
Let’s change the conversation to mental fitness.
